Come Rain or Come Shine

I’m going to love you like nobody’s loved you, come rain or come shine.

Dooley Kavanaugh and Lace Harper are getting ready to tie the “big knot and we’re incomerainvited!  It will be a casual affair—a backyard wedding on the new farm, surrounded by chickens and Red Angus cattle.   What could be more be more simple?  And what could go wrong?

Come Rain or Come Shine is the latest novel in the mega-popular Mitford Years series by Jan Karon.  Shared with all of the charm and folksy humor that fans have come to love, the novels are light and always have a surprise, smile-worthy ending.

So when the angst of young adult novels and the drama of contemporary women’s fiction sends me into a reading trough, I reach for a Jan Karon—and my reading spirit is restored.


My Dynamic Hold List

foodlab Because I borrow most of my books from the public library, I will often place hold requests on titles through the online catalog.  The number of titles on my hold request list will vary, from hardcover books to eBooks, audiobooks to music, and DVDs, and can often be as high as 50 items.  And that number will increase and decrease as I continuously read and listen to reviews.  But let’s talk about books.  What’s on my hold list at this moment?
